  • 2011: Co-organizer with Jamelie Hassan of Rebecca Belmore Billboard Project, London, Ontario, supported by community contributions and LOLA- London Ontario Live Arts Festival, London, Ontario
  • 2006-2008: Installation coordinator, Orientalism & Ephemera, a national touring exhibition curated by Jamelie Hassan, Toronto, Windsor, Ottawa, Saskatoon, and Vancouver
  • 2005: Participant, Art, Geography and Invisibility, an international geography symposium in Olot, Catalunia, the University of Barcelona, Spain
  • 2003: Co-organizer with Jamelie Hassan, Wide World: Collective Identities, H.B. Beal Secondary School, arts outreach program designed for youth which was a pilot project funded through the London Community Foundation coordinated through the Forest City Gallery, London and involved billboard projects and a gallery exhibition for the art students participating in the workshop

  • 2015: All That Has Value, artist/garden, 3 guerrilla garden installations, in collaboration with CUPE, London, Ontario
  • 2003: Co-organizer with Jamelie Hassan and Serge Arcaro, Drawn In: Drawings by artists from the Mesopotamian/Islamic Galleries at the Royal Ontario Museum, a London and Toronto artist and activist community event in response to the pending U.S-led invasion of Iraq . Exhibitions of these drawings were presented at A Space Gallery, Toronto and the Forest City Gallery, London, Ontario
  • 2002: Participant, The United Nations Conference on Palestine, “End the Occupation,” New York, New York, United States
  • 1998: Participant, "The First International Gathering on Biodiversity & Bio-devastation", St. Louis, Missouri, United States
  • 1995: He began working with Rural Advancement Foundation International, Ottawa (RAFI) and the Pomelo Project, Vancouver in a critique of the Human Genome Project and Life Patenting
  • 1980: Observer,  World Conference of Indigenous Peoples, Ollantaytambo, Peru ​

Ron Benner (born 1949) is an internationally recognized Canadian artist whose longstanding practice investigates the history and political economics of food cultures. He is also a gardener and writer who currently lives and works in London, Ontario, Canada.

London, Ontario is on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Lenape, Attawandaron and Huron-Wendat peoples, at the forks of Deshkan Ziibi (Antler River), an area subject to the Dish with One Spoon Wampum and other treaties.​
